Peyton started solid foods on Sunday, July 22nd! Well, it is semi-solid food....rice cereal. She loved it! It was a huge mess and food was everywhere! She opened her mouth nice and wide for the spoon, but once the food was in her mouth, she wasn't sure what to do with it! She would push much of it out of her mouth, but some did make it into the tummy. Practice makes perfect. We'll be eating rice cereal twice a day, at breakfast and dinner!

HAPPY 5 MONTHS TO PEYTON!!!
What a big month we have had! Peyton is growing up so quickly. She has been grabbing at her toys and has shown more affinity toward some toys rather than others. Her current favorite is still the ladybug book and her new Baby Einstein Octopus. Peyton has also been enjoying her new exersaucer and bouncy seat. She is really great at rolling from her back to her tummy and just starting to "accidentally" roll from her tummy to her back. Peyton also is showing signs of starting to laugh! We can't wait until she giggles more often!
We have had lots of playdates with Samantha Kuhlemeier. I am sure the girls will be great friends as they grow up together. Peyton is doing well at daycare. She is learning to nap in the crib. Mommy and Daddy were sad to put the swing in the attic, but Dr. Hewett insisted that she no longer nap in it.
Peyton had her first plane ride on July 20th. She did great! We got lots of great advice on keeping her happy and it worked! We fed her on take-off and pacified her on landing. People even commented on what a good baby she was! This makes for a happy Mommy and Daddy! We went to St. Petersburg and visited with Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi, Aunt Kimmy, and Uncle Monkey. It was a fun trip! Peyton also had her first ride on Grandma and Grandpa's boat. It was a nice day but very hot! Peyton enjoyed herself, but was ready for some air conditioning!
So as you can see, it was a jam-packed month! Stay tuned .... Peyton starts rice cereal next month!
MUCH LOVE!Comments:Add a comment:
